Our 3 Principles of Kung Fu:

“Work Hard!

Try Your Best!

Never Give Up!”

Self-confidence, cooperation, manners, ages 5 & up!

Chung Wah Kung Fu Centre: Children & YouthRounded Rectangular Callout: Because there are often spill-over’s from the training hall, we make a conscious effort not to fill the training hall to the top, keeping instead the instructor-student-floor mop Rounded Rectangular Callout: Kung Fu...like mother’s milk. Natural and growth-enabling. But in more great flavours!
Rounded Rectangular Callout: So, which type of parent are you?
Permissive (aka Jellyfish): (vacantly sweet) “Um, I was wondering, if it would be ok if you did a little practice, then maybe some homework? Oh, um, okay, maybe another day. That’s alright sweetie, you just tell me what you want.”
Authoritarian (aka Brick Wall): (ala Jack Bauer of 24, serious tone) “Look, if I wanted you sleeping, you’d already be asleep. You’ve got homework and you need to do it now...(weapon drawn, fiercely commanding) Put the toys down, DO IT NOW!”
Democratic (aka Backbone): (a perfect blend of presidential diplomacy, ancient wisdom and saintly compassion) “It sounds to me like you really want to learn Kung Fu. That’s a great idea, but first you have some TV to finish watching (or maybe something positive) and some junk food to eat (or healthier stuff), like we agreed upon. Your complete wellbeing is my primary directive.”
Yeah, we picked the third type

Our fun, inspiring program develops physical skills, self-confidence, and social harmony. Kids need guidance, focus and a way to develop self-discipline. Parents happily see these benefits spill over from the training hall into courtesy and manners at home and school.

Our curriculum promotes natural growth stages and develops important life skills by combining age-appropriate martial arts training and skills objectives, with theory and psychosocial skills development.

Give us a call. Your child can try a class with us. Getting started is easy! See Curriculum
