Service Description

Tuesdays at 6PM.  Adults, all levels. ​This program is suitable for most adults of any age and fitness level.  ​ We'll take you through an exhilarating hour of amazing stretching exercises to open and relax your entire body structure and ease your mind. Gently challenging yet always matched to your needs, there are numerous health benefits for your martial arts, Tai Chi or total wellbeing. ​In this course, you will be gently guided to improve your breathing, release tensions in your body and stretch properly to increase body flexibility. Basic theory and introduction to stretching to increase muscle relaxation, increase range of motion, improving physical activity performance, injury prevention, increasing the recovery process. Covered in this course: Why stretching and flexibility are important How does it fit into training programs or as part of one's daily practice How to develop a stretching routine Safety considerations Stretching techniques: dynamic vs static Introduction of stretches for the major muscle groups: shoulders, arms, chest, abs, back, glutes, thighs, hamstrings, calves Other stretches with considerations for current workplace settings (e.g. office, etc - can tailor to participant interest.) Combining massage with flexibility training Partner stretching - subject to participants comfort with personal spaces and contact. There will be optional at-home training assignments given.

Cancellation Policy

All passes, programs and event access purchases are non-refundable and non-transferrable. If you cancel a booked drop-in at least 8 hours prior to session start time, the class pass will be credited back to your account.
