About Us
We've been helping people build strength, confidence and lifelong skills since 1984.
Located in the Chinese Cultural Centre, we're the longest running Chinese martial arts school in the province. We work with schools, teams and special interest groups to promote healthy lives through traditional Chinese martial arts.
Our Approach
Our system offers a variety of health-giving experiences for personal transformation and enjoyment, leading to a deeper and more meaningful life for you!
This is the path of self-balancing, strengthening, harmonizing. We believe in a holistic approach to learning and wellbeing that focuses on physical, mental, and spiritual development. We have two main streams:
Kung Fu Regina, where we offer exceptional learning experiences for kids through adults in year-round programming, including traditional Chinese martial arts, self-defense, Tai Chi, Chi Kung & energetics, and more!
Go deeper with a total lifestyle transformation with Naturopathic Medicine consultation, lifestyle coaching and treatment through the Natural Wellness Centre Clinic (reginanaturopath.com).
Our approach is built upon the philosophies of traditional Chinese martial arts and medical systems. These traditions hold to the following principles:
interrelation, interconnection: what we do to one part, affects the whole.
balance: everything in its place; seek the golden mean.
flow: life follows its natural rhythms.
Integrating Mind, Body and Spirit
Our Kung Fu Regina training programs are not just about physical strength, fitness or self-defense, but also about integrating mind, body, and spirit.
Our experienced instructors help our students to develop discipline, focus, and self-awareness through a unique approach that combines traditional techniques with modern teaching methods.
More than a sport, we view our study of traditional martial arts as a way of life. Because everyone is different, each is guided to find their own balance and encouraged to apply the teachings to their own life journey as they see fit.
Training Paths
At Kung Fu Regina, we offer three types of learning experiences: drop-in classes, courses and complete training programs.
Drop-In Classes
Drop-in classes are available in a variety of styles and topics. Sign up for any drop-in class you want, and only when it works for you! As long as there are at least 3 people registered for the class, it will run!
Drop-in classes run throughout the week, all year long. There's always something to take part in!
Class passes are used for our drop-in classes. The more you buy, the more you save! Save even more when you purchase passes with shorter expiry terms. Go here to read up on our many drop-in classes!
Courses
Courses are mini-programs. When you enroll in a course, you attend one class a week that focuses on learning new skills and routines in each class. Courses are a lot of fun with no pressure!
With courses, your pay for the entire collection of lessons up front. Courses typically run 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the topic.
A wide variety of courses run periodically through the year. Check out our courses page to see what's currently being offered!
Programs
We offer a variety of membership programs for serious learners who wish to master the secrets of the arts! These programs are based on application & approval, and include special material, extra training and learning opportunities, all at exclusive rates.
Formal examination & grading are part of these programs as most have opportunities for certification, either within our system or internationally and as such, are valuable for any serious practitioner or aspiring professional instructor.
Some of our programs include Lion Team and Dragon Team training, competition training, judges certification training, Instructor Team development programs, several complete traditional Kung Fu Style programs, advanced internal energy training programs and exchange training programs.
