Courses are mini-programs. When you enroll in a course, you attend one class a week that focuses on learning new skills and routines in each class. Courses are a lot of fun with no pressure!
With courses, your pay for the entire collection of lessons up front. Courses typically run 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the topic.

Lion Training Basics 1.0
This is part of a 5-course series and a great introduction to the art of Lion Dance--one of our time-honoured Kung Fu performance traditions!

To avoid gaps in your skill and knowledge, we encourage you to learn each course in the order they are offered. Successful candidates of our 5-Course Lion Dance training series will be eligible to become members of our Lion Team and continue to intermediate and advanced levels in the Lion Dance Training Program.

The focus will be on hands-on training but will also include instruction on theory, explanation of technique as well as the ethical & cultural connections of this special art that intersects spheres of life and transcends worlds!

Course 1.0 Technique and Theory: the purpose of the Lion Dance, the role of team members, proper mentality to be on the team, expectations of the team, how we measure success, ethical foundation of the Lion Dance and Lion Team training, handling equipment, handling the lion, entering and exiting the lion, entering the lion, proper bowing, 8-corner movement, basic walking steps (horse, cat and bow), qishi high lion, gaoshi high lion, qixingshi seven stars stepping and others.

Essential skills class for Kung Fu mastery.

Kung Fu technique is traditionally divided into five categories: empty hand & striking techniques, leg & kicking techniques, throwing techniques, locking skills and specialty techniques. We create classes, breaking down the curriculum into themed experiences for you.

Our Kung Fu Foundations courses are perfectly suited for those that are brand new to the art, or those who would like a refresher. The basic principles of the technique along with terminology and steps will prepare you for future classes!

Self-Defense Focused
Hands-on classes use partner work to explore a wide range of self-defense and traditional application learning.

In Self-Defense focused class, we'll explore no-nonsense ways to keep yourself and your loved ones safe from harm. Techniques are learned in a safe, controlled atmosphere, with class dynamics proportional to learners' skill levels.

Health Chi Kung
The health benefits of practicing Chi Kung (also spelled qigong) are well-documented: lower stress, manage/balance blood pressure & cholesterol, blood sugar balancing, weight control, better physical and mental fitness, better balance and flexibility, better circulation and reduced pain, reduction of risk factors associated with disease & promote longevity.

​This program is suitable for most adults of any age and fitness level.

Balance and Grace
Tai Chi
Gentle and easy, this is a nice way to chill out and recharge your energy!
Tai Chi improves flexibility, releases stress and pain, and promotes longevity. The balancing effect of Tai Chi alleviates many health problems.
Our curriculum includes basic skills and movements, a variety of empty hand sets from beginner to advanced, Tai Chi weapons sets from the Yang Tai Chi system, as well as several health Chi Kung (therapeutic breathing & movement) regimens.

Combat
Combat training includes empty hand and weapon sparring and is both fun and challenging.
We practice in a safe manner, using gear to keep us and our training partners safe. Having said that, now you get to put the gloves on and go a few rounds, maybe even discovering that the real opponent is yourself.

We have a team of amazing instructors for this exciting holistic wellness program who create a relaxed and comfortable learning vibe.
​
Music in the Morning combines easy breathing, gentle Tai Chi and wellness exercises that are great for improving your energy and building your health!
We'll also work our lungs and voices, singing well-loved songs from childhood! (we might also throw in a few classic oldies too!). Our student library and lounge is perfect for this portion of the program. If we only had a campfire!
